Practical guide

Build a scene you can verify

Define a small scene, test each device independently and keep a manual way to restore the room.

Describe the result

A scene groups intended device changes into a named action. Write down the target state of each participating device before configuring the scene. Avoid adding a device just because it appeared once during discovery.

Test components first

Operate each device manually and confirm its actual state in the room. Then run the scene and compare every result with the written targets. If only some devices respond, record the partial result instead of treating the whole scene as successful.

Check recovery

Try the scene after reopening the app. Test the manual reset and check what happens when a participating device is temporarily unavailable. Keep the initial scene small until failures are easy to identify.

  1. List each expected state.
  2. Run the scene and inspect every device.
  3. Restore the room manually and repeat after restart.
