Plain-English terms

The subscription

Vigil for macOS is $25/month, cancel anytime. While subscribed you can download and run the current app on your own Macs for your own home. Cancelling stops future billing; the app's local features keep whatever your last entitlement allows. Don't redistribute or resell the app.

Sensor nodes

Own-brand sensor nodes are sold as pre-orders and ship when hardware is ready. You can cancel a pre-order for a full refund any time before it ships — reply to your pre-order receipt.

Not a medical or life-safety device

Heart-rate and breathing readings are best-effort and gated to accurate-or-nothing. Vigil is not a medical device, not an alarm-monitoring service, and must not be relied on for life safety. You are responsible for your own deployment and for complying with local law on recording and sensing.

Refunds

If Vigil won't run on your supported Mac and support can't fix it, reply to your Stripe receipt within 14 days of first purchase and we'll refund the first month.

No warranty

Vigil is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. Our total liability is limited to what you've paid in the last 12 months.

Changes

If these terms change, the current version will always live at this address. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
